Features
Tapered roller bearings are particularly suitable where:
high radial loads occur;
high axial loads act on one side;
combined loads must be supported (radial and axial forces acting simultaneously);
precise axial guidance of the shaft is required (locating bearing function);
the bearing arrangement must have very high axial rigidity;
the bearing position is operated clearance-free or under preload (single bearings are adjusted against each other);
high running accuracy is required;
the load carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings is no longer sufficient and the higher speed suitability of angular contact ball bearings is not required;
the bearings are not required to compensate misalignments;
the design objective comprises compact, rigid and economical bearing arrangements with a high load carrying capacity.
